The awesome and inspiring Mom Moguls spoke to over 200 DivaMoms about how they juggle it all; work, family, friends… while still remaining FabuLyss! The panel included; June Ambrose (celebrity fashion stylist), Jennifer Fisher (jewelry designer), Rebecca Minkoff (fashion designer), Mary Alice Stephenson (founder Glam4Good), Veronica Webb (model and fashion designer), Alexandra Wilkis Wilson (co-founder Gilt Group), and Ruth Zukerman (co-founder FlyWheel). Exciting… the Wall Street Journal published my photos along with a great article.

Red Carpet Kids and DivaMoms host a Pre-Oscar Extravaganza!

Red Carpet Kids is sure to punch a hole in the NYC kids’ party scene! The day before Oscar night, DivaMoms hosted the most incredible red carpet event for the city’s chicest little movie stars. The kids (and their moms) reveled in full-service star treatment including; hair, makeup, wardrobe, props… and then starred in their very own FEATURE FILM which they previewed after a well-deserved wrap-party. The photos and montage speak for themselves, so have a look and a listen, with speakers ON!

Each month, I contribute photographs to NY Family magazine’s “It’s My Party” section. My clients LOVE seeing their parties featured, and the venues really appreciate the exposure. All around, it’s a great gig because I get to showcase my work and illustrate to people that trying to photograph their kids’ parties by themselves is just not a good idea. Here’s the current February issue, which features 2 incredible cakes by my favorite (and ‘sweetest’) cake man, Bill Schutz of Creative Cakes. His designs are beyond description and he’s capable of anything. A few years ago, I photographed Alec Baldwin’s birthday party, and Bill created the most amazing Scrabble cake which wowed everyone, including the birthday boy.

My twins, Harry and Rose turned 4 as you’ll see below, and we had a Dora and Diego FIESTA at the Craft Studio, one of NYC’s top kids’ party venues. That reminds me… if you ever need recommendations for cakes, venues, entertainers… I’m your go-to girl. With thousands of NYC kids’ parties behind me, I’m certainly a wealth of information in these areas. Have a great day everyone, and stay warm. Superbowl Sunday today — which for me means… well, nothing.

Well, the good news is, it was the busiest fall season ever. I was lucky to photograph so many awesome families, including lots of new clients. Along with my incredibly talented graphic design team, we created unique, one-of-a-kind, custom holiday cards that were received by thousands of homes and offices all around the world. That’s a great feeling! The not-so-good news is that I was left with no time to blog. (In case anyone was wondering where I’ve been. ) My plan was to compile some of my favorite shots from 2012 (parties, portraits, events, mitzvahs), and share them all in one big, “best of” blog post. That daunting task proved to be too overwhelming. You know when you just don’t know where or how to start? Yeah. So instead, I’m sharing one of my favorite shoots from this past fall, featuring one of my all-time favorite families. It’s only 18 degrees outside tonight in NYC. I hope this adds a little warmth and reminds you that spring is just just a mere 55 days away. Sigh.

Club Applause – Hip Hop Night for Kids!

Applause is one of my favorite musical theater companies for kids. It’s also the home of the very popular Broadway Babies, Rock n’ Roll Babies and Superstars. This past weekend, they hosted their very first Club Applause, a hip-hoppin night of funky music and cool dancing. I was honored to be included as mamarazzi for the night. The kids felt like rockstars as I photographed them entering on the red carpet step/repeat. Then it was off to a virtual hip-hop club, where they danced the night away with all of their friends, old and new. For many of the kids, this was their first real “night party” so it was a very special evening for sure. Awesome, 8 year-old DJ and rapper, DJ Fulano was there to spin their favorite tracks and we enjoyed performances by professional hip-hop dancers, which was amazing! Hope you love this fun recap, which definitely captures the excitement of the night…

Nine year old Carrie Berk is an expert cupcake critic with her own blog and her own children’s book series. I have had the honor of photographing both of Carrie’s book launch parties! To celebrate the release of her latest, THE CUPCAKE CLUB: RECIPE FOR TROUBLE, she gathered her closest girlfriends together at FAO Schwarz, broke out the giant inflatable cupcakes, and partied on the Big Piano!
